ABSTRACT
Aim:
Effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding hand hygiene among primary school children
Objective:
To assess the knowledge regarding hand hygiene among primary school children, to evaluate the effectiveness of structured teaching program on knowledge regarding hand hygiene among primary school children, to associate knowledge with selected demographic variable regarding hand hygiene among primary school children.
Hypothesis:
H1:- There will be significant difference in knowledge score regarding hand hygiene before & after administration of structured teaching program.
H2:- There will be significant association between in pre-test knowledge score with selected demographic variable
Materials & Methods:
One group pretest-posttest design was used to conduct study in selected primary school children. 30 sample selected by convenient sampling technique. Structured questionnaire was used. Descriptive and inferential statistics was used for data analysis. Paired t test was used to find out association between demographic variables.
Result:
Result showed that, the mean knowledge score was increased in the post test 12.03% to 18 %.Significant association found between post-test knowledge score with demographic variables gender, elder brother/daughter sibling in family.
